Over the course of the orientation, students:
- met and reconnected with program members to build community
- were given time and guidance to organize their online lives by using Google Drive and Google Classroom.
- closely considered expectations of them through the year by reading and writing about their course syllabi
- learned the science behind how the brain learns in order to consider their own brain’s processes and functioning
- worked with staff to set realistic, measurable short- and long-term goals and plan the steps to achieving those goals
- began the process of working together to give the program a new name, a new look, and a greater level of personalization within our shared space
